Car shopping starts to move to the fore...

Now that the vacations have wound down, it seems that it's going to be car shopping time.  I'll be working with my daughter to get her a vehicle.  I think I already know what we'll be getting her, but am keeping options open for now.  Perhaps by the end of the weekend we'll have things all wrapped up, but between now and then I'm going to visit my credit union and see what financing options we might get by going with them rather than the manufacturer's provided financing.

The other business that is starting to push to the front is we're talking about getting another pet.  Her pet bird had passed away about this time last year.  Not long before her mother (my wife) was killed in a car accident.  We'd (my daughter and I) talked about getting another pet for a while but had postponed that effort until after our trip for a variety of reasons.  We're talking about the various options and considering what direction we might wind up going in.  More than likely it won't be another bird, but for now those options remain open as well.  I still think if it wasn't for my son's allergies, we'd probably have already gotten a cat (or two) as both my daughter and I love them, but alas his allergies wouldn't really allow for him to be comfortable in a home with a cat around full time.
