I really don't have any particular beef with the Yankees. Being a god fearin' sout sider, my baseball ire is directed at far more worthy targets, and at 39-50, having suspended their 'star pitcher', and attendance amongst by the surburban masses dwindling, it's been a good year. That and my Sox are in first place.

He did make baseball fun to follow.  I am a Mets fan, so the Yankees have always been a bane (the major one of course being the damned braves).  But his antics made following baseball unpredictable and in some ways more fun.  I will miss him.
