Vacation is almost over

Vacation is almost over.  Heck, the travel part is basically done.  All that is left is a some more local entertainment and then going to retrieve my pets from my co-worker's home (she and her s.o. graciously took my family pets in while we were away).  I wish it hadn't gone so quickly, and really wish I had another 3 - 5 days to spend on the road.  Actually I probably had the time if I had planned a little better, but then again, it would still have been much too rushed...  The trip to visit my aunt came up at the last minute and no sooner had I gone there and back was I on the road again with a few days between both trips.  Perhaps I could have taken the second road trip a little earlier, but I didn't want to change plans once they were made and really it wouldn't given me all that much more time to do things on the road.

With that all said though, there were places we didn't get to visit much, and not enough time to see all of the sites that we should have been trying to see.  There just never seems to be enough time for that sort of thing.  I guess it just means there are still things for my children to look forward to going to see and do back in those areas we visited, assuming they get some time (and have the $$) and want to go visit again in the future.
