Thoughts?  She did survive that whole Iraq war fiasco when the press was saying that she lied.  I still feel that Saddam had stuff that either we are not being told or heck he had enough time to get rid of it.  I mean our media was giving the warning signals about us invading a week or so in advance.  That conversation is for another time.

I guess there is some research (I love research!) that shows that during a crisises that in politics women get elected.  Probably because women are seen to be trustworthy and comforting.

I like Jindal.  He is very intelligent and very articulate.  Through his study of sciences shows that he can actually think and the fact that he is Governor demonstrates this.  I agree with most of his core values.  The thing I know may be hard for him is that he is Indian and a Roman Catholic.  I don't think those will be major issues though for him to overcome.  I know people will try to pin him as an elitist (using state helicopters) and being too 'young'.  I think the age (with age comes wisdom and I don't feel the oil spill will be the only major fiasco Obama admin will face.  Mark my words, this was only the first. By the time we reach 2012, I think we'll be looking for someone old, not ancient due to that stereotype. ) and possible elitist charge will hurt him.

The elitist charge is obviously not entirely fair, but I can see that being used against him.

Doc, to Fred Thompson's credit he did say that he was only running to bring forth the UHC plan and to speak on how bogus/bunk it was.  This was the reason Michael Moore was trying to attack him but Thompson gave him a verbal smackdown.   Condoleezza Rice,  I think she does have the stomach.  She took so much abuse while with the Bush Administration especially from other black politicians or other black leaders saying that she was only playing black or was accidently black.  That's a very offensive comments.  Imagine, Doc (I'm guessing you're white) imagine if I said that you only playing the white military man or you were accidently a white military man (I think Nitro was sort of being accused of playing a military officer or that he was accidently a military/meaning you're a poser in another post).  Its offensive.  She stuck in there through almost the entire Bush administration (I don't think she was there in the very beginning, was she?). 

I like Palin (she's very photogenic) and I agree with a lot of what she says.  I really hope that she doesn't run though.  I think she would be best staying on the sidelines and helping the potential candidates raise money and getting their message across.  I get the feeling she probably will run.  If she does run and wins, I really feel that Obama has a good chance of winning again.  Even with the Oil mess/senate seat favors and future messes (the Oil mess has shown terrorist the lack of leadership and how divided/preoccupied we are with non-sense (the Oil fiasco is not non-sense here).

A final note, Bill Clinton is speaking his mind and saying to Obama you best do something about the oil mess.  Finally!

Don't be a Sore Loserman  about Thompson now!  Thompson was my horse as well so to speak.  We had very similar beliefs.  He was very intelligent and could communicate it very well.  He has been flying low, for the only thing I've heard from him was a commercial for I can't remember what.

I agree with you on Rice and that she probably won't run.  I agree with you as well that she would be outstanding. 

Since I agree with your above comment down the line, I'm willing to bank that we have very similar political beliefs.  I know we hold similar religious beliefs, but probably at different extremes.
