Easy way to change overall color scheme of a windowsblinds skin?

Ok, I got a new question.

Say you download a skin but its a kind of dark skin with dark grey window frames.  Say you wanted to make it a metalic blue color.  Is there any easy way to adjust colors or do you have to actually edit the individual graphic pieces?

Thanks.

If it actually has color in it already then you can use the colorize section and shift the color...but since gray is an absence of color, you can't really make it another color very easily. And if you have a shiny skin, it would be really hard to recolor it to make it look metallic without redoing the images themselves.

Here's a trick I discovered, since some of the more popular skinners here who do a remarkable job of creating skins are fans of minimalism, and I can't get enough color in my life -- if you create a texture in that's a solid color (or in your case, a metallic blue texture), and apply it....BAM! You colored a skin that was colorless!

Here's a link to Island Dog's video on how to create textures in Windowblinds:  http://islanddog.impulsedriven.net/article/368219/Video_Creating_Textures_for_WindowBlinds

Karen, that's a great tip, I haven't tried that before with the grey skins, thanks so much!

As a quick example, here's what the subscriber skin "Elan" looks like with a solid blue texture applied:
