Wondering why why why??????????

Not sure what you mean...but if you're seeing time delay differences with uploads to Logons vs uploads to walls then that will be due to the availability of/different people moderating each.

If other people appear to have 'synchronised' uploads that will be either 'luck' or possibly their access level bypassing the moderation/wait process...;)

BTW....Wincustomize.com has moderation of uploads for very good reason.

Doing so means we don't see situations such as which arise at Deviantart.com and other un-moderated sites...where Warez and/or pornography is submitted as 'legitimate uploads'.

Innocent until proven guilty or the other way around here?

It's about pro-active defence/protection of copyright....means more work for us....less grief for others...;)

A day or two ago we saved our community the 'pleasure' of being confronted with pornography of particularly vile overtone.

The uploader was simply and quietly permanently removed from any and all Stardock sites.

Other places can only retroactively respond to such instances, and some are painfully slow to react so the 'damage' is done for quite some time.

In an ideal world ALL sites would vet their uploads/contributions...;)

Also wallpapers are looked/voted at/by more than one person, usually about 4 voices where as logons usually have 1-2 voices leavinf an opinion.  Most of your recent uploads damn near look the same minus or plus a small addition.

Newdawg...I had assumed you were wondering WHY uploads were not automatically/instantly accessible to the site/public.

you say you have not had many of your works made to the front then maybe I suggest you take a look at my work, and yes some are fractals but there are a few that's not,  and you will also notice that a lot of mine didn't make it to the  main gallery either but do you see me bitching about it, people will and do go to your personal gallery to have a look ... here

is this done anonymously or do the reviewers know who the submitters are. it would seem to be a better process if the reviewers were unaware of who the submitter is???

The moderators will be aware of who is uploading...as it is an aid in determining whether there is prior or systemic issue with uploads from a particular person.

That is the only sensible process...;)

We see everything.  It wouldn't matter, after a short while just looking at the work we know who uploaded it.  If ya don't believe that, go to the wallpaper gallery and just look at the pics and then see who did them.  In a few minutes you won't have to see who did them, you'll know.

I do believe all or damn near all of your work has made it to the libraries, Newdawg.

it is just a graphic and I assume it is judged on that aspect. not sure how I see who submitted it as being real relevant and if that was the case then someone who is not a part of the decision making process could do the back check. to me, when you have personalities as being a part of equation we all have a tendency to lose objectivity.

Moderators are chosen for their impartiality when judging the merits of uploads.  Like or dislike (if any) of an uploader does not come into the equation.

I agree with Hank.  If it did come into play, a lot of stuff would not make it in.  Think about it.

Newdawg, i would just say never give it up .... many of my skins didnt passed to main gallery in early ages too but look at me now, DrJBHL personally congrats me if my skin comes picked up for TWIS

Imho, the second quote has the first quote covered.

It applies to everything, large and small.

The reality is, however that there are far more wallpaper submissions than there are other gallery content so they are seen to be more affected....;)
