dxwidget.exe has stopped working (Windows 7 64-bit)

I just recently purchased and installed ObjectDesktop on my son's laptop.  Everything works except DesktopX, ObjectDesktop Launchpad and RightClick.  When we try to run DesktopX we get the error "dxwidget.exe has stopped working".  His operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  We have tried to download the latest beta version of DesktopX, but it does not show up for us in Impulse and I can't find anywhere else to download it from.  Any help would be appreciated.

DesktopX 3.5 is your best bet. As for 64 bit, there are several known bugs with 64 bit and DesktopX. Also, DesktopX does not play well with UAC, this is why Brad almost retired the program.

Can you tell me what widget you're trying to run?

Thanks for the quick response.  I tried using DesktopX 3.5, and I still got the same error.  I was not trying to run any particular widget.  The error appeared immediately after starting the DesktopX program.  I finally figured out how to get DesktopX 4 to appear in Impulse, and so far it appears to be working. Yay!  Thanks again for your help.  Now back to trying to get RightClick and OD Launchpad to work.

Glad you got it working. OD Launchpad works for me on 32 bit 7, but not fully. Dunno about Right Click. I think I heard it didn't work on 64 bit 7, but don't quote me.
