Elemental: BETA 2 Available

We are pleased to announce that Elemental: War of Magic – BETA is now available.

To those who have pre-ordered the game and would like to subject themselves to misery, agony, famine, and grief, you may voluntarily take part in the buggy, unfun, imbalanced, flakey, psychologically damaging beta.

Here are two helpful links:

Be aware that Beta 2 is not representative of what the final game will be like. We do, however, invite beta testers to give any feedback they would like at this point even if they think it’s something we’re going already planning to address.

The anticipated release date of Elemental is August 24, 2010. We are currently running ahead of schedule so that date is looking pretty firm.

An important note: Debug.err files are not being generated in the Beta 2 build that went out (it was noticed in internal testing just as it went live). We hope to get to the bottom of that as quickly as we can, so be prepared to revisit any bug reports you make over the weekend to add debug.err links once we get it sorted.

I am SOOO happy I was able to pay with paypal and am downloading the game now Thanks STARDOCK! Now if I only did not have to go to work XO . Tried to call in sick they do not believe me (wonder why I only been talking about Elemental non stop lol). So I guess I will be day dreaming at work lol.

Wow, Ahead of schedule even!!! Hell yeah. Way to go everyone :) . So um...since you're technically "ahead" then you've got some free time on your hands. Plenty of time to work on a "Custom Race/Monster Creator" *wink*, *wink*, *nudge*, *nudge*. ;).

hehe j/k about that last part. Well done to all involved. :thumbsup:

you need to instal impulse reaktore you have the link in the mail

 

after that put the cd key they send you and start downloading :D

Hey guys, do you think I will spoil the game for myself by joining in on the beta? I dont want to ruin it by knowing too much of how the game works. You know what I mean?

No.

If a game is to have replay value, it should be impossible to 'spoil the game.'

I put my CD-key into Impulse and it said succesfully registered and everything, but I still don't see a beta download anywhere.

What am I doing wrong?

After getting the game to work thanks to windowed mode, I just finished my first game with victory in about 220 turns :) No crashes whatsoever, glad to see the stability has been improved dramatically. Some odd graphics etc. bugs, which I'll report in the appropriate place. Just wanted to say good job guys  :grin:  Next up: Time to try that multiplayer!

Same problem, close and restart Impulse, problem solved :)
