Getting a New Laptop, Quick Question

I'm getting a new laptop, it's supposed to arrive soon, and I was wondering something about Sins. I was going to just move the My Documents folder onto an external hard drive and copy that to the new computer, but I wasn't sure if games like Sins would work if I just copied and pasted it like that. Obviously I'm not a huge PC gamer. So can I do it that way, or do I have to put in the disc, CD key, all that stuff? I can do either, I just don't want to mess anything up. Thanks.

The registry would not allow you to copy the whole game over, but you could copy the "Ironclad Games" folder in the local settings folder if you already have the game on another machine.

snowman, the best way is to use the discs, cd keys etc to install the programs, but copy the my docs, & ironclad games folders to get your personal files & mods onto the new computer

I don't have any mods :S . The computer I'm on at the moment barely passes the minimum requirements, so it runs kinda slowly. So I don't play it much. The new laptop I'm getting should be able to run this pretty good. My goal for the new laptop was to be able to play the Crysis demo.
