New Update

Doesn't Work!

Tried to install the latest WindowBlinds update and all I get is an error.  Uninstalled WB hoping that would help.  Still get an error.  Not good and I am not happy. There is clearly a problem with the download.  The error code says, "Error retrieving data."  8C

Update:  I checked the registry, nothing there, so decided to try a cold boot.  It finally installed.  Thank goodness!  I mean is there life without WB???  That was one big download.  It is the first time I've had difficulty with an update but I finally got it installed.

I also get an error, when trying to download the update of windowblinds. The same as you did.

I try again this evening.

It's my fault. I didn't push the beta update out to all the download servers last night. Try again now.

Thanks, Nakor, for the information and the honesty.  :thumbsup:   I finally got it installed but knew something had to be amiss.  That was a big download and it is working just fine now.  Sure were some tense moments though.  :(O   :'(    8C     Once I did a cold boot it downloaded just fine.  Not sure if that did it or I just lucked out.  No matter, all is well and thanks again for letting us know.  :)

Hi sorry to bring up this thread again, but this seemed like the place to post my problem:

I am trying to update Windowblinds to v.7.10, but it keeps getting stuck at exactly 98.1% of the download. It then says it's "retrying" but it can't seem to finish. I eventually just cancel the download after it "retries" for several minutes. Restarting the download, restarting the Impulse program, and restarting the computer have no effect. Internet connection is fine, as the download breezes along...until the 98.1% mark (every time.) I have not tried uninstalling Windowblinds yet...(I really, really don't want to do that unless I have to.)

I updated two other programs at the same time with no issues. I have never had a problem with an Impulse download or update before. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lily....it happens from time to time...give it a day and try again. Then if it happens yet again just post here again. ;)
