My first personal PC was a Timex Sinclair ZX-81.  It had a whopping 1k of ram.  The first computer game I ever played was on that PC and it was called "hammurabi".

you johnny come lately's do not know what an OLD pc is.

MY first PC was a trs80 model 1 in 1979 which was a huge 4k ram with cassette tape storage, BUT I was one of the early 'hackers' in that I upgraded my crash80 (btw the programs crashed, but the computer IS STILL working so no hardware crash in 31 years) to the absolute max of 48K of ram that even held the screen display AND system overhead and I/O space with an average available space of 46kb, and the first game i played on it was called snake. I had even written some games for it as well, but I did not enjoy them as much as the ones written by other people which is why I started writing utilites.

1) Infocom

2) Text based adventures

3) leather goddesses of Phobos ( complete with scratch and sniff card and a flash gordon era style comic book )

4) Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy

Unfortunately I cannot recall about the bonus gender questions however the game starts in a Bar in Upper Sandusky Ohio and the game made alot references to Yaks (which I never understood).

Yeah, I am that old and still a gamer.

Here's a follow up question to separate the men from the boys:

What was the original name of the Infocom newsletter before a certain major publication threatened a lawsuit?

Since no one got it, here's the answer:

The newsletter was called The New Zork Times.  And yes, the New York Times did threaten to sue Infocom over the name, forcing a change.
