Forums go Boom every time I try to post!

Forums go Boom every time I try to post!

Has anyone else been having this problem lately? At least half the time I try to post, the forums go Boom and my post is eaten. And it's periodic; for example, I've tried to post something like 5 times in the past 10 minutes but it won't work. But I posted something earlier in the day and it worked just fine, but the day before I couldn't post anything either.

Also, if this post works, I will cry.

So what gives? The forums are unstable quite a lot.

Same here... I get more and more unstable every day.  Think it's this 3 month old headache... feeling motion sickness just moving around the house.

If I weren't allergic, I use a herbal remedy many indulge in recreationally... and go visit another planet.

Yup, I need to be in bed... night all.

Night, Cap'n.... wish I were there to set yer right.  :-|

Can't sleep... and getting frustrated tossing and turning.

There's a thin line between sanity and insanity... and I'm tiptoeing right on it.

Was never any good at balancing.. hopefully I fall on the right side.

Sanity with a headache like this will never do.

You know if Po` and I were in the same place at the same time there's be a state of emergency declared as a result of the ensuing havoc.

Never before in the history of man has there been been anyone with balls to place the two such volatile lunatics remotely in same general vicinity, much less the same room, and if you dare do such a thing (send Po` to me) the Australian Government would seek to have you extradited here so it could lock you sadistic arse in solitary so you can't concoct/hatch any more evil plans.

Personally, I think it's a brilliant idea.... but they're not gonna let you get away with it... are they?? :-"

Got just the cure: Couple of Tse-Tse flies and some sleeping sickness. See?  I can fix anything. :)

True....especially if pain is causing it.

Why don't you try sleeping it off? ;)

Tell me about it.  I've suffered with insomnia for almost 30 years now.... and the older I get the more debilitating it becomes.   As a young bloke I could cope with it a lot better - like put in a 10 -12 hour day at work after half an hour or so snooze - but now I'm approaching 60 it takes all day to become functional if I manage to doze off for a while.

I could tell a few jokes. That's sure to put you to sleep...

If only, if only!  If I thought for one moment that a few jokes could put me to sleep... I'd insist that you told me ALL your worst.

This boat is getting full!

Yup, it sure is!!!  In fact, being that I've gained weight in me old age, an' have a bugger of a time shedding tha extra pounds, maybe us oughter transfer to tha Twisted Sister.  She be out o' dry dock n' ready fer tha 'igh seas.

True....especially if pain is causing it.

If only it were the pain alone.  For me it's a combination of anxiety issues and depression as well.  A few years ago I took part in a sleep study thing to see if they could get to the bottom of it.  Yeah, right!!!   They hooked me up to all these monitors and sedated me... when I woke up they told me that my brain activity while asleep is greater than most people when they're wide awake.   And I dream stuff... often disturbing stuff that comes true later on down the track.  Yeah, I know, nobody believes it... but I'm the one living with the curse and I really don't care if anyone believes it or not.

That's about the strength of it.   I Need Sleep Or My Noggin Implodes Awfully.

No, they're not.

It happens to some people, in some areas. But I seldom get a Boom any more.

And this thread is, more and more, going off topic. Which means that the problem is less severe than it has been in the past.

An update: We had an idea of what may be causing the problem, so we dug through our database logs to verify.  Turns out our idea wasn't correct, but it did help us to pinpoint where the problem may be coming from a bit better.  We're going to continue looking into the issue today but unfortunately a fix may not be available until next week (if we come up with a solution by then).  On the bright side, our database guy will be back from vacation next week so we'll have him look into the issue some more as well.

Just because the thread is going more and more off topic doesn't mean to say the issues are any less severe.   Threads around here regularly go that way... usually because the lunatic fringe is too easily distracted and can only focus on the one thing for just a few moments.... oh look, GEESE.
