Does anyone else find this and the hundreds of other posts like it to be useless dribble, doing nothing more than appeasing the bored and tying up WC resources?  I mean come on now, there are better things to do with ones time I would think.

Thanks Snowman.  It's just that there is so much of this type stuff on WC now, it is becoming ridiculous.  And Wizard, I replied because of that very reason.

ok so rather than re new my subscription i will not bother and go elsewhere where ppl have a sense of humour. in future i wont bother to post or respond to posts or upload that way you will be happy just reading "sensible" posts. so this is the end of humour on wincustomize is it? i suppose all the other threads that are witty and fun are to be considerd as useless and a waste of resources?

I tend to agree with LS and Snowy on this, The post didn't make any sense at all, wasn't funny or humorous imo.

Sure miss the WC from several years back with a ton of good skinners, a quality gallery, skinners helping other skinners with skinning questions etc.

My how things have changed. That's the shame.

That action is worse than the original "resource waste" as you call it. Another example of something that should have been handled in private don't you think.

Because it seems the entire site forums are becoming like this ID, sorry if I express my opinion, but I felt the need to say something, and saying it in private would have been useless IMO.

well this one got totally out of hand didn't it. Some people need to lighten up and get a damn sense of humor. So what if it's a pointless post. Do we want just dry and mundane crap everyday. Obviously. So as soon as someone tries to inject a little humor they get tramped on like they are the biggest asshole. Grow the heck up.

it really doesnt matter to me anymore, i personally like a little humour in my life and in the forums but if its not appropriate then thats fine. i am not gonna talk about how big your ram is or wether  or not my processor is faster than yours. i leave stuff like that to people who are more knowledgeable. it was pointless this post and that was the whole point of me doing it - a little dry humour. still, i have plenty of other things to get on with so lightstar i will leave it up to you to  post threads of a more serious and sedate manner

ID.... We're seeing alot of totally pointless posts, from all kinds of users, all over the multitude of forums we have.
It -can- be a nightmare for anyone to find something usefull, if looking to answers/help.

Me too, and no one is running anyone off, I think were as free to speak our opinion as anyone else. A community is going to have varying opinions about its content. One guys\girls humor maybe be anothers dribble.

My personal opinion is this sort of post shouldn't be topping the list of Forum posts on the front page of Wincustomize.com, If I was a first time visitor I would be wondering if I had came to the wrong site.

I dunno, If that makes me a stick in the mud then so be it. I just care about the future of the site.

IIRC,the Support forum has a " no-nonsense" policy but surely General Discussion is or at least should be open to anything within WC guidelines.

This isn't any different than any of the "game" threads. You don't look for news in the funny papers.

As for all the bumping to get noticed, hasn't anyone noticed they get a reply when SD is damn good and ready to reply, regardless of the number of bumps or by whom.
