Oculus Ball Lightning

Hi,

I am currently trying to find out where the buff that allies get increased attack speed exists in Oculus Ball Lightning skills.

I have looked through the LUA files and the creation of the Ball Lightning does not appear to cause the buff, nor does it seem that the LUA in regards to the Ball Lightning themselves create the buff. Has anyone verified that the increased Attack Speed from Ball Lighting III and IV are in the game? If so, can someone help me find where it states this?

I have also tried a folder wide search for RateOfFire and found no mention of it near anything related to Oculus.

Thanks.

now that you mention it, I can't think of an attack speed buff. hm. I do think I remember the buff popping up when you summon one. That may need to be reported to Uberfix. I'll try to lab it tommorow.

Thanks, I just did another look through all the LUA, a folder wide search for "Lightning" and came up with squat. It's definitely in the tooltip but I can't find the effect anywhere that would buff allies. It's a little hard for UberFix to fix in the sense we have no idea how fast it should be to remain balanced.

I repeated UhelligGudn's search and confirm the lack of a attack speed buff for Ball Lightning. Likewise, there is no code that is suggestive of it being implemented even partially. At this time, given the lack of any other supporting evidence for the existence of a attack speed buff, I would suggest that the tooltip is incorrect.

If the ability would be added it would make sense to have the buff be either 5%/5% or 5%/10% since that is the progression that is used for other attack speed buffs.

I also looked into the other language strings_db.lua files to attempt to confirm the tooltip, however I did not find updated versions of those files. Can anyone tell me what happens to the new strings in nonEnglish versions of Demigod when you update?

okay I checked it out. Levels 7 and 10 say that they are supposed to increase attack speed, but there is no displayable buff tooltip. There is also no shown decrease in attack time in the character dialog box, so I would say that it is not included.
