Where's the rest of My Income?

I guess for some it's OK to steal so long as they are benefiting from it.

I'll ask my husband when he gets home.  He knows all the tax laws and usually tells me what's coming before the news gets out.  He came home yesterday with Obama's tax return. Have you seen it yet? Obama and his wife made over 5 Million.  I have to check but I'm thinking he only had 21% taken out of his.  He made $374,460 as President and the rest were book sales and speaking engagements. 

Was their any doubt Obama was lying the moment he said it? But hey, you should be thanking him (Obama's words).

Looks like these rich bastards aren't paying enough taxes. I wonder if they will make up the difference, since they think the tax rate for rich bastards is too low.

I know money for the poor is not supposed to come from people who "care", but wouldn't it be appropriate to take the money the Obamas don't need and just give it to the poor?

They want a bigger slice of the "rich" to pay, but I guess they don't see themselves that way. I'd be willing to bet, Obama's income will miraculously decrease next year after the Bush tax cut is rescinded.

It would be great if the US had two tax systems based on how one votes. If you want all the Democrat entitlement programs, you pay the Democrat tax rate. Things that must be shared like National defense, are split evenly. Make it $5K if you want to change. Wishful thinking I know.

With the freeze on military retired pay, VA benefits, and Social Security benefits, and figuring in the new tax rates...I am way broke.  The 2011 Form 1040 only has two lines:  A) How much did you make?    Send it in.

A thief breaks into my house and takes some money I have left laying around.  The man is an honest man.  He never pretended he was there to help me, he was just there to rob me.

There is no honesty in DC.  I doubt there has been an honest statement in the last 2 years.

James Mitchner writes books.  Tom Clancy writes books.  Obama (and most politicians) do not write books, they launder kick backs.

People "earning" that money usually do as they invest it to create more jobs.  People getting bribes and kick backs like the Obamas do not, but of course did you catch their charity donations?  About 1%.  So apparently they only want poor people to have YOUR money, not their ill gotten gains.

When your accountant is Rezko, who learned his accounting from Al Capone, I guess Obama considers all the taxes he paid as charity contributions.  After all, paying taxes is just for the "little" people and the honest folks, not the Obamas.

Funny how the rest of the federal employees saw NO freeze.  In fact, working for the feds now pays more than working for private companies.  But then I do not recall a year when the feds did not get a raise, but recalled plenty when states and private biz did not.

It isn't the Democrats, it is the United States Congress (D+R+I) and the Executive Branch, who seems to think that the 'for the people' part needs to be stripped off the Constitution and the 'by the people' means the 'polling majority' (aka however many people we can get whipped into a frenzy). People forget that this (the U.S. of A.) isn't supposed to be a true majority rule democracy it is a representative republic.

You are unfortunately correct.  Once they step across the Potomac, these "fellow citizens" seem to think they are above the rest of us.

The justification for withholding raises this year was that the cost of living index didn't go up last year.  I know they use fuel prices as a big factor, but all the other prices went up...a lot...even if gas went down.  But that didn't stop congress from getting their cost of living bump...about 3800 dollars worth.  Tsk, tsk.

Come on, Dad, all you did was risk your life for your country. Congress has had to sacrifice so much more. Do you know what it's like to work 3 days a week, 7 months a year for way more money than the average American makes? You've never had it that rough in your life.

I know about the justification.  They used the same for the Social Security folks.  But somehow, the civilian federal employees seemed to have gotten a raise.  (I did not get one, but then I work for Aunt Ginny).  But I do not think it was a raise, more of a bribe - to Andy Stern and the SEIU.  What else would one expect from the chicago corruption?

Yea, some of us just do not understand the sacrifices of the nobless oblige!  The outrage of it to make them work at all!
