Goodie hut shield

Why would a shield you find in a random goodie hut have YOUR royal seal painted on it?

Well I assume that soverigns have some basic artistic ability, so they painted the seal on themselves.

Wormhole.  At some point later on in the game, a blacksmith will lose a shield he was working on for you in some freak magic accident, and it will be sent back in time.

Your sovereign stole the idea of his royal seal from an existing one (violating copyright...). Or in case of Procipinee, she found a shield of one of her ancestors.

He's actually right.... Weapons/Armor found through quests etc. could be a good way to put lore into the game. If it had a crest from one of the pre-cataclysm factions, and was titled something like "Krax Wooden Shield of Blocking" etc.
