I finally finished downloading Rig N Roll, but unfortunately Impulse has been "extracting" the files for the past half hour with no discernible progress...anyone else stuck?
ya Assasins creed. been 2 days. Actually in hrs bout 12 hrs. it is freekin slow!! Impulse needs to upgrade thier servers. Im running top o da line hardware with download speed @ 9000 kb ps. It is at 80 or less downloading from Impulse. This suks! After this is done I aint coming here no more. Sorry Impulse
It actually is deffinatly Your connection and or Your 'top of the line' computer thats failing there jg27 and Not impulse's servers. Impulse has the fastest downloads I've actually ever seen and I'm not exaggerating I average 3+ megabytes per second consistently. However with the extracting files on some of the larger games (5-8 or more GB) like mass effect ect. it can take awhile depending on your computer. With those large file games it does take me about 20-30 mins to extract because my comp is abit dated and its not your net connection speed but your computers since the game has been completely downloaded at that point. With smaller file size games (2gb and under) the extracting is pretty quick for me.
Some of the games on Impulse consist of 30,000+ files and this can take some time to extract. So if you see it sitting on the 'Extracting' stage for a while it would be best to wait and let it sit a bit for it to finish.
As for very slow download speeds, this can be caused by security software running and interfering with the download. We have seen this in the past with Avira. If you have such software, try adding Impulse.exe as an exclusion to be sure it is not slowing you down or otherwise interfering.
