ATI Radeon 5xxx cards

This isn't a Demigod issue, per se, but I was wondering if any DG players with an ATI 5xxx series card have had any luck fixing the "striped screen" crash? I have looked all over the regular internet forums, and there seem to be a lot of fixes, but no one seems convinced that any of them actually work (one guy swears by it, the next says he tried it and it still crashes, etc.). Anyone out there know of a reliable way to fix this issue?

I hate waiting 30 minutes for a balanced DG game only to have it crash on me 5 minutes in. It only happens to me every 10th game or so, but that is still way higher than I would like.

I'm experiencing the same issue, I was wondering if it was my card so I was going to RMA.  But if its a demigod issue then I might not, is there anyone I can call or email to try to get this resolved? I'm only getting these gray screen crashes when playing demigod.

system specs for those that care:

i7 930 @ 4Ghz

6 Gig Ram

sapphire 5850 @ 1000/1000 (crashes even at stock clocks) 10.4 drivers

windows 7 enterprise 64 bit

1000w BGF PSU

I used this fix and it seems to have worked (no crashes about 3 weeks now), and I have the 5700 series, not the 5800, which this is for. Good Luck.

5850 here - I haven't experienced this issue.
