Here are some of mine intro suggestions for a fantasy game:

 

Lords of Magic

 

Das Schwarze Auge: Die Schicksalsklinge (Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny)

 

Das Schwarze Auge: Sternenschweif (Realms of Arkania: Star Trail)

 

Das Schwarze Auge: Schatten über Riva (Realms of Arkania III: Shadows over Riva)

All of this games had great unique soundtracks that didn't sound like a copy of Lord of the Rings as in todays games. I hope the soundtrack of Elemental will be as good as those.

 

There are much more games with great intros but thats all for now.

I would contend that Emperor of the Fading Suns had the greatest intro ever.  It has drama, intrigue, and the best narration I've ever heard in an intro.  It was VASTLY superior to the game itself!

I really like the command and conquer red alert intro, not the part  with hitler, but the one where you have the music, the title screen and some movies. I don't know why, but I like the combination of visual and music in this intro.

skip the first 2.25 minutes, It's the part with hitler that I really don't like.

 

As for the intro indicated above, I like ultima IV intro because it shows you a little story of how things could happen in the game. So I find it funny.

I don't share the same taste in game intros, apparently. Frogboy seems to love tiny characters running around the menu screen quite a bit, I prefer more cinematic intros.

Sorry about that!  I saw the 'Alternate Reality Dungeon' title and didn't realize that it was a sequel to the original AR (I didn't click on the link because it sounded like another D&D game  :puke: )!  I never knew they came out with a sequel!  How did it compare to the original?
