National Hockey League Playoffs 2010

Playoff talk goes here

So it is that time of year again. NHL playoff hockey time! Use this thread to predict, root for, discuss, drown your sorrows about your team, etc.

I sit here at Stardock HQ typing this with my Wings jersey on and playoff beard growing. My allegiance is with the Detroit Red Wings being that I and Stardock are in the metro Detroit area. So, GO WINGS!

Should be an exciting playoffs with some different teams in and even more parity this year.

Who cares who wins, Montreal got 24 cups in it's name..never be beaten....Which is possibly why the team sucks more balls than a thai whore

Some sound logic there...

Another 1 seed loses as the Habs beat the Caps in OT and leave the entire place looking like this:

Gotta love the fan intimidation in Vancouver:

Must be something in the air, alot of underdog teams also did well in March Madness for basketball. Soooo....There is hope for my Preds. Maybe we finally get past the first round of playoffs. Though it does help that we are not facing the Wings for like the first time in 3 or so years.

I will say that I am glad my Wings are NOT facing the Preds. I am picking the Preds to upset the Hawks.

Anyone been watching the playoff action?

I have off and on. Found it interesting that every series has started tied after 2 games.

And the #2 New Jersey Devils are the first to fall at the hands of the #7 Philadelphia Flyers.

And Ottawa is fighting for their lives against the Pens in OT as we speak.

And the Senators pull out the win in triple overtime.

My team lost. :'( X(

On a more positive note. 2nd round matchups should provide everyone some good games.

Well, it is do or die time for my Wings. I certainly hope they come out like they want to play today, unlike Sunday. Too bad about the Preds, I hoped they would have come back last night.

Not really all that sad/mad that my Wings got knocked out. I am just happy they kept the playoff streak alive (19 years) and the 100 point season streak alive (10 seasons). Getting to round 2 by winning a sweet game 7 was just a bonus.

As a Wings fan, obviously happy the Pens are out. Everyone ought to give the Habs a TON of credit for what they have done. I believe it was stated they were either the first team or the first 8 seed to knock off the President's Trophy winner and then the defending Cup winner.

Now how about Philly becoming just the 6th team ever to force a game 7 after being down 0-3. Should be interesting tonight!
