All that would be required is that the Armor and Weapons be special built (time/Materials/Cost based) So that a Troll, denoted as a a Large sized Beasty would need a Large armor plate, Helm and a Half a Tree ( Carved to a form fit Club). Time/Material/Cost = 3-4x that of a Regular/Stnd. sized soldier who was provided the same gear...

Ya, some basic mount and beast armor would be great. Maybe a preset skin or three for your race and a number of stat changes you unlock.

Great idea - this totally needs to get implemented!

I suggest that it needs a specific technology to be unlocked though, something like "Beast Equipment Forging".

100% want. The ability to equip beasts to be even better killing machines is absolutely needed.

I think this goes along with another post I'v seen, to incluse a paper doll for inventory. Beasts and such will just have a different paper doll with different slots.

I totally agree, it would be great to equip hired monsters with weapons and armour. Mounts and simple animals such as wolves and bears should be able to get some armour/saddlebag equipment as well. Albeit relatively simple armour, but armour none-the-less! I would like to see them have weapons also, but I think that is a bit of a stretch within the scope of the game (and reality). Besides, it could always be modded later:

Obviously you would need to Research Nanotechnology and Bio-synthetic Fibers first!!

Well if that is the case need to keep him away from the girl bears.

Which reminds me ... many War Elephants had Ballistas mounted atop them.

Having War Armadillos with Ballistas mounted atop them would be cool. Equal would be Griffon riders with Rope-hooks and hooked nets.

Warg riders would also work with net-like weapons.

Anyways, other than "normal mounts" ... big n large can mount light seige atop their backs, and any fast mounts can use Rope Hooks and Nets for capture purposes.

In particular, a rope-hook for a Griffon rider could mean hooking onto a soldier, flying high, and dropping them for an insta-kill.
