It's a button on your keyboard. PrintScreen. PrtScn is what it is sometimes abbreviated to.

Windows Vista/Windows 7:
C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Windows Username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Screenshots
or
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and settings\<Your Windows Username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Screenshots

have to have hidden files shown

give thanks to Microsoft for the idiocy

Then you can open it in Paint....just hit paste... and then save it as a jpeg.

There are other programs that do that, but I just use  the PrtScn like  awuffleablehedgie said.

1 Arrange the desktop you wish to capture.

2. if you have Jing or Snipping tool, use them to frame the desktop. Click on capture/save and choose the location you wish to save it.

Jing is free at Techsmith. JING

You don't need any of those extra pieces of software to take a screen shot.  Just get things as you want them then hit the Print Screen (Prt Scr) button on your keyboard.  Then open Microsoft Paint and click Edit on the menu and then Paste.  Then you can save the image wherever you want.  This will work in XP, Vista or Windows 7.

I'm sure you probably fixed it by now, but did you try making sure nothing got unplugged and rebooting?  :)

Yeah, it's very popular with Stardockians and TechSmith (the company who makes it) are good friends to WC and have helped sponsor the GUI Champs in the past.
