Why Does Logonstudio Give Different Look To XP Welcome Screen Than In Vista?

Blue boxes aroiund user names and blue band at the bottom...

I have LogonStudio working fine in my Vista rig with no problems whatsoever, and just installed it in my new Notebook which runs on XP SP3.  I notice in XP only that on the Welcome screen in the names area and the bottom band are still the default blue and wondered why?  Am I doing something wrong or is that simply an XP thing?

Sorry about the blurry image, still getting used to my camera, but you see what I mean....and it happens with all versions of LogonStudio in XP only.

Sorry to reply so late but my netbook was being repaired and I don't even have XP on my desktop.

I downloaded and installed the old XP version and it refuses to import any of my .BMP images.

I used one of the built-in ones just to test it and the box still appeared round the user names.

With logonstudio vista on XP, Vista and 7, all that can be changed is the wall image, the rest is default for the OS it is on.

I downloaded and installed the old XP version and it refuses to import any of my .BMP images.

Trying to import how.

With the XP version of logonstudio you need to use the splash style logon to get the Vista look.

Example here

The standard XP logons are just the default Windows logon with images changed so will still have default style to them.

I meant load a bmp into the program's UI.

If you mean as you would with logonstudio Vista, the XP only version does not work that way. You new to create a new skin, Create button, or Edit an existing skin, both done in Editor, to change images.

Thanks for the advice.   Obviously it's more complicated than I thought.   I'll play with it.
