Mouse Stuck?

I just purchased this game, Windows 7.... The mouse is stuck, it "moves" but I can't see it. The graphic is on the screen, but won't move. I've seen this with other games, and hardware emulation solves it in those... but I can't figure out what to do for Demigod. Anyone have any tips? Thanks.
