Re: running indicator choices.

Yeah, the tiny black triangle on a mostly dark background isn't doing it for me either ;)

Hi there, thanks for the update.

I installed it today but was very dissapointed to see that the issue with skype in my taskbar tab it still an issue.

Any chance this will be fixed?

Hi,

Looks really nice, and Im now hiding my original windows taskbar again (well done on getting that start menu to appear from windows 7).

Here is my current bug list (Win7 32 bit):

1) The three 'windows built in' system tray icons in windows 7 don't function from the OD sys tray. (Volume, network connections, and action centre) when you left click on them when windows task bar is hidden. Volume control doesn't work at all for left click no matter if windows task bar is hidden or not.

2) Pop up notification balloons dont seem to appear from the OD system tray, but come from what seems to be where OD has hidden the windows task bar.

3) A digital clock would be brilliant and really helpful (especially if you could left click on it and get up the same mini calendar view that windows 7 brings up).

Many thanks.

1. Although set to load at start up, it doesn't.

2. It doesn't appear to be detected by Tweak7, only the older ODPlus which I uninstalled through Impulse (to avoid conflicts, like skin updates).

So one question : Is this build 'feature ready' or are there still features that find their way (back!) into the final ?

No flyouts nor stack functionality is an absolute no-go.

I have my top dock set behind any open windows and have it located at the top. When I open any window, IE, Opera, Programs, etc at the top you can't see the dock but you can see a white shadow of all the icons. I have tried many different settings but it just won't go away. It doesn't make the desktop look very nice while any window is open.

p.s. forgot to mention in my post. The dock with the black shelf style background with icon reflections .... looks bloody lovely :)

I have successfully managed to implement the STACKED/ FLYOUT feature.

It can be downloaded here... LINK.  You must add this to your "Docklets".

Works like a charm...

Yes, but only if You have the dock at the bottom. And it is 3rd party + not maintained since months.

1. Windows used to minimize to the dock, now they minimize to the taskbar.

2. The minimize/maximize animation is rough and choppy. This happens the same on 2 different machines.

3. Any chance of getting "Categories" from the Dell Dock as a new feature in OD 2.0?  Please oh please?

4. It would be really nice to be able to have reflections on any zoomer, regardless of whether it's in the .ini code or not; just like you can with the tabbed backgrounds.

i notice that on windows 7 x64, 64bit apps won't minimize to the dock, but others do.  on windows 7 x86, no problems at all.

regarding the dell dock, impulse dock also has this feature, and i was expecting it to be in OD2 considering it's been around for quite some time in other stardock developed docks.  would be really great feature, thus not needing stacks or flyout then.  i guess i'm just really disappointed that OD2 has less features, at least, features i use than OD1

In fact, I have tested this on both the top and the bottom... it works fine so far.

I might be wrong on this point... but I believe that the same thing for OD#1 was third party, with a page set up for it on the wincustomize website.

The first image is what I get under version 2.0 when I right click a file I have saved in a tab

The second image is what I used to get when I right clicked a file in the Tab, this is what I would also like to see in 2.0

For this reason I went back to 1.9 in reality I did not see that much of a difference except for Start Button, and User interface.

Not sure if I wasted my money or not yet

Thanks

Strange, I've got no chance to get the stacks to open upside down on mine.

Pictures are worth a thousand words!  Based on your screenie, ObjectDock Tray is NOT on my list.  Therein lies the problem methinks.

this plugin doesn't work with x64, bummer

something else i've noticed, dock backgrounds work on bottom, most look terrible on top or don't flip right, alot are broken if used for side dock.

Strange, I've got no chance to get the stacks to open upside down on mine.

i used stacksdock2 from here http://rocketdock.com/addon/docklets/22757 and it will expand downwards, but only in grid view, not in fan view.  so thats something at least to work with now, until stardock adds this funtionality which "i know" they will do!:)

[Feature Request] Regarding the Flyout menu, WHEN it gets put back in could we please have an option similar

to Stacks where instead of the icons rotating in a circle the appear instead in list like the Fan option (but not in

a fan shape) in Stacks? Sure the rotating icons look cool and kinda baffle people who watch me working on my

computer (especially if I just let the icons continue to rotate without selecting one for awhile) but would really

be nice to have a list like option as well.

BTW: Running OD2 on Win7x64 and loving it now. Taskbar is finally gone.

adding a dock to the bottom right or left, and i assume the top, will actually extend that dock to other monitors, at default setting, even with no icons on the dock

so i notice that i made a systray dock only, but when i make it small the background image is cut off, anything under 40px icon size

another problem with systray, it's not showing all programs that are actually in the windows systray, windows 7 x86 and x64

A couple of issues in the OD taskbar:

  • The Network and Sharing center icon is invisible
  • The Sound icon is not clickable

Yes, but only if You have the dock at the bottom. And it is 3rd party + not maintained since months.

And the latest version doesn't work in multimonitor configurations.  Even if the dock and icon are on monitor 2, for example, the fan/grid opens up way over on monitor 1.  8P

I found an old version of Stacks that did work, but it's got bugs and is not feature complete (being an old version).  Very much a hack.

i have some windows entries, but they don't work and crash explorer.exe, same OS.  not all my third party show up either

That is most likely an issue with the coding of that particular background.
