Can someone make a good tutorial for map modding?

Hi there,

I've been playing Demigod with my friends a lot and since we are most of the time in 2v2 ore 3v3 matches we found that a good 2vs2 map is needed.

I found the Notepad++ and had a try, but I failed, I couldn't even finde the health cristals ore build some new towers...

I would be pleased to finde a map modding tutorial which is easy enough to understand (even for people like me :P )

 

 

btw a whole (working) map editer would be a great invention

At best you can only edit maps.

The problem is with the lobby. As far as I can tell it open scmap files before hooking which is the only reason I haven't been working on one.

Well, technically all you can edit is the placement of the Towers, Citadels, Portals, etc., as well as the Minion Pathing, so you could re-tool a map to be better designed for a specific number of players. You can't alter the physical layout of any of the maps without the Granny2 file format, and the licence to use it is way outside of anyone's price range (US$15,000.00 if I recall correctly?).
