Does anyone know why this happens?

Does anyone know why this happens?

Is it a driver thang?

Hey guys, I get this error occaisionally and my graphics driver crashes. I reinstalled the driver to no avail. I do know that my graphics card is rated for a minimum 300 watt power supply and I only have a 250W.

This usually happens when running Photoshop, or Yahoo Video Chat.

Sometimes, when running Photoshop for a while, if I open another graphics program, my PC will go grey and I have to manually reboot to fix it. I get a kernel power error in my event log.

Please help.

nVidia sound drivers??? I did not even know they made a sound card.

The sound is built in to boards that have the nForce chipsets.

No. But the sound IS a part of the video card if it has an HDMI hookup, which mine has. But I don't use the HDMI connection. I use the VGA. I have an HDMI TV I use as a monitor, but when hooked up via HDMI, I don't get as nice a display. VGA seems crisper.

Never heard of a video card that has a sound output. Interesting.

What I meant is that Nvidia makes the chipset on the board therefore they make drivers for the sound output.

Maybe on some...not on mine. I do have an nVidia chipset on my board, and my ethernet controller is nVidia. But my sound is Realtek HiDef sound.
