Does "Trade" help with diplomatic stats?

I was wondering this as i havn't see anything.

I know there was things such as military actions, diplomatic inclination etc, that helps increase "friendliness" towards other factions but i have not seen trade as a factor?

Does trade help, or am i just not seeing something?

If it dosn't, i think it should.

I always thought it should, but I havent seen it. If it does its in some subtle way that efects a different stat
