Antimatter Rechargers: Structures to use with?

what do you use these with??  I am thinking I am using them ineffectively next to starbases and hangars.  I play Advent.

 

Does stacking them help??

I don't think rechargers affect structures and starbases.

Capital ships... you use them with capital ships... They suck; don't bother.  Well, okay, they help the Progenitor keep using its Shield Restore.  Or, if you've built a Rapture(and most people don't in MP), it fuels Clairvoyance.   The Vasari Nano Weapon Jammer is far more useful as a race-specific tactical structure.

I only use them when using the Clarvoyance ability on the planet support capitalship (can't remember its name) so I can just keep it on autocast and get constant intelligence. However, if there is an uncontested star that works just as well and for free.

It became even worse with Diplomacy with the antimatter pact giving you a +20% boost on top of your normal upgrades.  It's not hard for Advent to have +30-40% charge rate, negating any real purpose for the buildings.

It needs to affect buildings, and it needs to become an aoe ability.

just put a few light frigs next to each structure needing AM....the recharger will hit the light frigs... the frigs can give to the other structures

     Does that work?  I have never seen my Disciples transfer AM to a structure before.  If so, this actually makes the AM recharger VERY useful...  I'm thinking:  Fighter Hangars, Star Bases, Repair Units, etc. 

     A more interesting question:  Can the Disciple transfer AM to an allied structure from your AM Recharger?  If so a good set of allies could see an advent player colonize a planet, build AM structures, Abandon Planet, and leave a couple of Disciples there to charge up my allies Starbases, Repair Yards, etc...  This could get interesting.

 

I'm going to have to go playtest this now...

Yes, this will work, but you do need to research Disciple's Steal and Transfer AntiMatter Ability for this to work. Disciples can transfer AntiMatter to Friendly Frigates, CapitalShips, PlanetModules and StarBases. While AntiMatter Rechargers only work on CapitalShips and Frigates.
