BootSkin for win 2000

When I apply a bootskin in windows 2000, which bootskin XP is supposed to work with, it still brings up the original windows 2000 boot screen, and then applies the custom screen on top of it, which makes the image incorrect, colors messed up, and makes the boot look terrible. I want this fixed ASAP because I want to show off my boot screen to others who don't yet know that this is possible.

This is some what normal on some systems, for me this happened on XP until SP3 installed.

If this is a bootskin you have created yourself I think you have image wrong. It must be a 640x480, 4 bit 16 color image, if you are using a progress bar it must have the exact same color palette as the screen image.

Here is a good tut for bootskins.
