Spark our interest, what is the mod about? What does it do? A little more info would be nice, else I think a lot of people will be put off downloading it.

Well in this mod of mine ive increased the ship hit points X 10 and increased the damage the ships do also now the starbases can have all their abiltys at once in stead of being limited to 8 upgrades. also the buildings had the hitpoints increased due to the changes. hopes this gets people interested in my mod it is still a work in progress so things will change.

It does seem to me that it would be a bit more realistic for a starbase to have more than just 8 abilities.

well its limited by the game if i could i would add more. but i could change some around if you think one should be there in stead of current ones toss me some ideas and ill see what i can do.

im looking to make an abilty that allows the star base to act as labs with up grades to limit the mess after you get the tech for them would save the use of constructors to deffences and the such also might make the tech able to build caps out of them for the front line:borg:

Congrats on the start of modding. A few things you might wanna do/think about.


Give your mod a name. Anything really. Call it Super Starbases.....or Thunder Dome....anything so people can find and even tell others easily about your mod. "Hey you see that Super Starbase mod?" Much easier to talk about.


Another is make a list (Change log) of things your changing in your mod. This list will give anyone an idea of what to expect and if this mod is something they wanna try.

thanks now i just need to finish the change log for my mod and then work on updates for it and at a later time start to model new ships some how dont know what programs will work for the models

I'm curious to model myself but don't think I will have the time to learn all the tweaks.  Somone does have a modeling package somewhere though as I recall seeing it.  Perhaps they'll post a link.
