When I try to apply my theme, it changes into a 2000 theme

I just bought this for my son, and saw how cool it was, so I bought it for myself. My son is using Windows 7, and I'm using Windows Vista, I had bought the Spring theme from MyColors, but when I try to apply it, my wallpaper changes, and my icons change... but my theme changes into the Windows 2000 theme... everytime I try to apply it, it happens. Does this mean that I just wasted my money on a program I can't even use?

Now this is the son, I was applying the skin, and I finally got it to work... no idea why it wouldn't work, but I did it...

And also, did my mom have to buy a second copy for herself? Or could she have used my serial as well... and just had to purchase her skin.

Because if so, she will want a refund lol...

And also, thanks :) I changed it tho, now I'm using Jakuta :)

I may be wrong, but I assume you'd need windowblinds to be installed too.

you're wrong ;)

Glad you got it working :)

Like I said earlier, I did have everything installed, and it still wouldn't work... I just kept trying to apply the theme over and over again, and it finally seemed to work. I have no idea why it wouldn't work... and also did she have to buy herself a copy, or could she have used my serial for herself?

From Stardock's FAQ's.

Q:  I have a laptop and a desktop. Can I install the software on multiple machines?

A:  Yes, to a point. Only 1 copy of the product can be used at once per license. But if you want to have it on both home and work or install it on the road that is not only allowed but recommended. As long as only one copy is actively in use (someone sitting at the computer) at any one time, you are covered.

So that means my mom didn't even have to buy her own copy? If so, she needs a refund...

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I understand it... I think it means that if I'm in my computer and my mom is on her laptop at the same exact time, they won't work. So my mom DID actually have to buy her own copy. Thanks :)
