Is anyone interested in Diablo 3?

I can't decide if I am. I will need a new computer, can I be bothered? Probably not.

I'm interested, but I don't spend a whole lot of time thinking about games that won't come out for another few years. Once they announce a release date, THEN I'll pay more attention.

Tell you what runs really well on low-end machines, if you're looking for a Diablo-type fix: Torchlight. Great game! You can download it directly from the developer's web site: http://www.torchlightgame.com/

Cheers,

As l;ong as their will be a live thriving community yes...I am kind of disappointed with buying 2 because of the community.

Wait a full year after Starcraft 2 finally gets released, and you MIGHT start to be close to a release date of Diablo 3.  Not worth thinking about for the time being.  Just get Torchlight if you want Diablo for now.

Hell, yeah!  Barbs all the way!

Ahem...back on topic... ^_^'

I'd like to get it...but until I get a better computer (and one without *coughVISTAcough*), I won't be able to play it, OR SC2.

I could care less.

I played Titan Quest+ Immortal Throne and that's enough point and click RPG I need for years.

For my dungeon crawling RPG needs, Demon's Souls is the new gold standard for me.

Is anyone interested? most certainly.

Am *I* interested? not in the least. Blizzard is the most Jerkass of all gaming companies currently in existence and I'll be damned if I give them another single penny. Plus I've already got Torchlight (and Titan Quest as well, in case I ever get hardcore enough to enjoy it).

Diablo 2 was one of my first online co-op experiences. I hope there is enough new content being added to D3 to make it worthwhile.

I tried it and think its ok. My initial impression is that I think its better than Titans Quest which to me felt clunky. I'll play for some more time and when the 2 hour demo runs out I'll post here again with my final opinion. Cheers for the heads-up on the game. k1

If you had asked me 2 years after Diablo 2, I would have been all over it.  However, my gaming tastes have been getting more jaded as time goes on.  I kinda feel almost like its not going to be fun now.  The memories of Diablo and Diablo 2 are great.  Same with Warcraft and Starcraft.  I even enjoyed WoW for a short time.  Today though is a different day.  Blizzards success might be it own problem.  Seems like Starcraft 2 is being released in 3 seperate installments.  Yes, I understand they are standalone games in their own right.  I used to think that Blizzard was a great pc game maker.  Now, I think of them more as a corporate entity who's only intent is to make more cash at the expense of putting effort into creating new and unique games.  I am grateful for all the wonderful gaming they have brought us, but times change, and so do game companies and pc gamers.  I truly hope Diablo 3 morphs into a good gaming experience, I just don't think that it will unless your new to gaming or for some reason you missed the first 2.

....If your computer is that bad then you know you have to upgrade....

I'm probably the biggest Blizzard fan on this board so that's a definite YES!   Diablo III looks to be the best ARPG so far.

Don't you people know the new things they're creating??     Healthorbs, different "mana"system for every class (Barbarian will have Rage instead), skillrunes(!) and just much more fun'n'fluid gameplay.

Currently trying to finish Diablo II LoD with all classes in Hell but it's just so difficult....Never gotten further then Act IV Hell with a MeteOrb Sorceress. Seems I have to lower the difficulty....(/Players x)

StarCraft II is being released in 3 parts mostly because of wanting to create the best campaigns possible. You'll get 30 great missions in Wings of Liberty, 30 Zerg missions in Heart of the Swarm and 30 Protoss missions in Legacy of the Void.

I believe that another reason for 2 expansions is that they want to create interesting new units for MP. I for one, fully support that decision.

I got Titan Quest and I need to start with it sometime before it gets too old....

So if I only have the first release will I be able to MP vs somebody with all the releases?

Yeah I am, though I'm not dying to play it...I'm pretty sure it'll be hell fun...one thing I'll say about blizzard, they know how to dangle a carrot in gaming. And man I love the ridiculous amount of loot in Diablo games, the was boss characters just explode into phat ribbons of gold...awesome.

Yeah me to...but alas...it already was for me. Which is strange because I still play ten year old games, but there was something about the visuals that didn't work for me. Maybe that gfx period was like the eightees or something.
