Sysmetrix 3.44 issues

I just downloaded the new version of sysmetrix and have discovered some problems. I see Nick did fix the TCP issues. i did notice transparency issues with volume slider and media buttons. also the volume slider does not control system volume or winamp volume levels. i can scroll and see slider move but no volume changes. I am currently using an HP DV7 laptop with AMD dual core processer on a vista home premium OS. has anybody had these issues as i have? Any help or suggestions are welcome.
