Galciv Ultimate v2o3

Cheats?

Will there ever be any cheat codes for v2o3 Ultimate? I read the post for enabeling the codes for TA and have tried to copy and paste the ultimate icon on my desktop and followed the steps in the properties box to create the new target and typed everything as shown. It called the new target invalid so the steps must only apply to TA and not GC2ultimate.

The method is the same. Make sure your shortcut goes directly to the DL/DA/TA executables and not to the launcher.

@Kryo

 Speaking of cheat codes? I have 3 games in row in MV on Saint Mina that say "detected cheat code" but before and after those games there wasn't any cliches or on any of my other 2  characters.  Funny thing is there was no cheat codes ever used so I am a little worried.  I don't know if you can find out what caused this cliche or not? So if you do find out please let me know.  Is there any way of deleting those 3 games without deleting all of them? Thank you for your time.

Edit: I just got another "detected cheat code" so out of 14 games I have played, I have gotten 4 "detected cheat code". I have been doing the samething over and over, so what is wrong with DA?

Kryo,

What am I doing wrong? I copied and pasted the EXECUTABLE icons onto my desktop,then typed the target line EXACTLY as instructed and still got the message.."the name C:\etc. specified in the target box is not valid. make sure the path and file name are correct."

The only icon on my desktop is a launch icon so I went into my stardock program files,located the .exe icons and tried the same copy, paste and target line steps for the galciv2 exe. icon as well as the TA exe. icon. I still got the same reply from the system.

any help you can give would be appreciated..Thanks!

If you're doing ZYWs, be aware that wins within the first 12 (?) turns may be considered illegitimate automatically. Beyond that though I couldn't guess what might be out of expected legitimate bounds to cause it to flag.

There is no way to delete single games from your record, sorry.

What exactly are you entering there? Copy/Paste or screenshot--chances are you've probably just got a misplaced space or quote mark.

"C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe" cheat

This is what I typed in as shown and the only thing I can think of is if there is not supposed to be a space between the last quotation mark and the word cheat. I was also careful about capitalizing letters as shown.

@kryo thank you, :thumbsup:

I have gotten 4 "detected cheat code" out of  20 games and still got no clue. Finish game after Apirl 8th always. Is there anyway to check, what might of caused the cliche?

"C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe" cheat

Assuming the game is indeed installed at that location, that should work. The space between cheat and the path should be there.

Please contact [email protected] and they'll be able to help you look into this further.

Not really, sorry.

I contacted [email protected] as you suggested and all they told me was tp look into the 'STICKY" posts online and the data banks online. No real help there but thanks for your help kryo. I hope someone will be able to help me further on this.

Kryo,

I was successfull!!. My problem was that I was typing in the command line given in the instructions into my target box.

 "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe" cheat

This is the target line my game points to

"C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight\GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe" cheat

All I had to do was simply add the word "cheat" at the end of this string.  When I did, I was then able to use the cheat commands! Ctrl + P doesn't seem to work for the planet selected. Instead what happens, is when I hit Shift + Ctrl + P, ALL uninhabited planets become habitable...even those of the other races.  Is this supposed to happen or can I somehow make it work on only the selected planet? All the other commands work though.

How do you make sure that it goes too those executables?

I've tried everything on this forum regarding cheat codes in GC2, and I can't seem to get anything to work

Two Of the Reasons i think Stardock is the coolest developer ever are.

1. they openly support modding and will converse with users, and

2. they actually tell you how to cheat in your game!

You Guys rock!!
