whatever you did to do that must have a cheat key in the final game...............................
MagicWillNZ, I think we have our Dark Republic cloth map....
You ran out of energy because you tried to build too much. You need to switch of building that experimental and turn off the radar for a bit...
oh wait...
Wall hax.
Reminds me of AI mesh editing in Mount and Blade....
(Points finger) HAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(flying monitor and then explodes)
I don't know WTF that is, but it isn't either of what I expected:
STL structure that is essentially a resizable array, OR
A measure of something encompassing both magnitude and direction
whatever you did to do that must have a cheat key in the final game...............................
MagicWillNZ, I think we have our Dark Republic cloth map....
Yes, yes we do...
Oh man, after a whole week of frustratingly trying to make a nice looking holotiles... how to make the same effect 2d is the challenge now, maybe keep it 3d but simplify the geometry and green all of the vectors to make a really awesome "battle- tanks" wargame feel... but this looks awesome.
That guard in the tower at the top left is the sweetest thing about that pic, only cuz I don't know what vectors are
vectors are all those triangles you see everywhere. basicaly thats what everything is made out of. if you were to mak a flat 2d square, it would realy be 2 triangles that formed that shap.
welcome to the fort at the end of the universe
Those are polygons, vectors in 3D at least are directions with a derived length.
Guy hows that meant to be a hack your not really going to get the edge over anyone.
Looks like we will see a lot of screen shots of vectors in screenshots of people editing mods and what not.
Sorry for the offtopic question but wasn't there a planned new beta yesterday (18. february)?
I still can't update my beta version.
THe beta was delayed until next week....
Which is the point of this thread?
I feel that there is something more to that pic but I seem to fail understand it.
I guess brad was just playing with a wireframe mode and thought he'd post a screenshot because its farily interesting to see. You get to see how detailed thier meshes are, how the world is built - how terrain features work things like that. At the same time Gamespot can't use it to show off the "tight" or "dated" or "mixed bag" graphics that press types describe all aspects of a game as.
Descriptions:
Tight
Dated
Mixed Bag
Effectors:
Compelling
Visceral
So i would say the screenshot he posted was a compelling mixed bag personally.
Funny screenshot.
BTW, the Vectors were my favorite team in Projectyle.

Bah, now I feel old again.
So i would say the screenshot he posted was a tight & visceral look into the Editor. ![]()
...are you saying that some of the graphics in the game is vector-based?
If so, I just got a raging hadron.
