I define insanity as the repeating of an action with the expection of different results for each repetition. Therefore I am only partially sane (most people are when you think about it).
Yes, I do believe that I am mentally unstable; after all, what kind of person would use the fires of a battle to create romantic atmosphere (and yes, I would totally do that). Though just because I am mentally unstable doesn't mean I have no idea what's going on.
And after skimming through this article on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sociopath, I think that I am semi-sociopathic/psychopathic and also almost certainly mentally unstable. Of course, I do have empathy, as I really do feel sorry for some people/about some things... either that, or I am very good at fooling myself into thinking I feel sorry for someone/about something (that's actually both scary and cool). Though I never did torture animals/set homicidal fires/wet the bed regularly past the preschool years.

I need to re-install my SoaSE game, now that I think on it...
Well, not a date, per-se, 2 other girls were there, but her newest poem that she showed me, her wearing of my jacket, along with random teasing and hugs, might as well make it that.
Anyway, the new anime revolves around a Brittanian military unit in the warfront of Europe (presumably under Schnizel's control, but idk for now) that is sent in to retrieve something (I think it was captured Brittanians, but idk) from the enemy. The unit has a 5% survival rate on this mission. The unit is also made of recruits from Area 11.

Whiskey: I didnt read the whole article, just the first section of it, giving a generalized definition, but to me, it seems like a very mild definition of what psychopathy really is. Ok, I know there are a few forms of psychopathy, not every psychopath is the same, but in order to even be even "partially sane" like you said, you need to at least lack a human emotion of guilt or empathy or remorse.
I dont know why you say "I would use the fires of battle to create a romantic atmosphere.". What do you mean by that? That you would create a war just for that? What kind of battle are you referring to? The world has war in it, but only in a few parts of it. We are not in any kind of World War, and I am sure that you arent even close to a real war.
Do you mean maybe that you would fight with someone, trying to beat him up, to create a romantic atmosphere?
Feeling sorry for someone/something, and fooling yourself into feeling that, is the same thing, IMO. Because after all, human emotions are illusions anyway. What I mean, is that something always triggers an emotion, and the trigger for each person can be different, for example: A person might get really angry if you insult his family, while another person might not, considering that these people that make these insults dont worth his/her time, but this person could get angry for a totally different reason.
Therefore, only someone that would be totally unable to feel a certain human emotion, would be considered "mentally unstable" or "insane".
