Every new gen traditionally looks worse than the previous one. And it always IS worse.
Why do you think Kanto and Johto are the 2 best generations? Because they are the first 2, duh 
But thats not what I'm excited about. I am excited about the full 3D graphics, and the new visual effects never seen before in a Pokemon game. I saw the new revealing video the other day, and it completely blew me away.
But yeah, the new gen does look really lame

The fire starter looks completely retarded, and it looks like a part of 2 year old comic. Nuf said. (1 in the middle)
Now, (I saved the best for last), the water starter, is the most HORRIBLE and sad thing I have ever seen in Pokemon and I am wondering how did this crap actually make it in the game. The person you drew that Pok must be out of a job pretty soon. Look at it, I have no words to describe its hideousness

Imo i kinda like the pig...but i kinda find the water one looks....wierd.
However
i agree that kanto and johto are the best. But hoen wasnt that bad it was just too short. And i loved hoenn starters the most.

But that aside atleast there is a new steel and ground type combining the best defensive type with one of the best offensive. And this one looks it can actually attack. Cuase steelix is pure tank
God, that pig is hideous! But hey, if you liked the water one (which is the ugliest thing I've seen in Pokemon), you'd be the first for sure And that would be just weird.
Hoenn was not bad, and neither was Sinnoh. But overall, Kanto and Johto are and will always be the best.
Well, if I were you, I wouldnt jump to conclusions, we just have to wait and see, because just looking at the pics, and knowing the new gen's Pokemon types, doesnt offer much insight does it?
And the steel and ground type might be pure tank as well. You never know.
What I really wanted to see in that vid, is if the new gen Pokemon look as bad as the 2 starters, and thankfully they dont.
Well, some of them are bad, but some others are pretty.
The Bad Cat Pokemon (Dark) looks soooo awesome!

Thats true. There are lots of bad Pokemon, and lots cool ones in Gen V
That doesnt bother me at all. In fact, I am glad for it, because its a little difficult to make some new cool Pokemon at this point, where up until Gen IV there used to be over 500 different Pokemon.
Anyway, I am really looking forward for an English patch of the Japanese versions of Black/White, so I can play them in my awesome free DS emulator!

imo i never liked frosslass. I will admit i have alittle bit of type bias to ground types. They can look like pile a mud and i would still say 'cool!!!!!!'
but imo i think the new dragon type i posted above looks kinda cool.
I also think the fire starter looks more like magmar as it evolves. Good or bad? i dont know yet
actually not really . While ground types are my favourite i prefer variety in my moveset. my favourite attacks though are eruption, Muddy water then maybe leaf storm then earthquake. That should also give insight to my 4 favourite ground types. Can you name them?

Well, earthquake is a really good move, (actually the best ground type move), so I thought since you like ground type Pokemon so much, that move would be #1 for ya.
