The barbed wire, and that she's on a cross, are both symbolic. They are pictures we subconsciously associate with things, to make the picture mean more.
The Cross: It's something divine, pure, or meaningful.
The Wire: It's something forbidden, something that will hurt to touch, or something that you have to be hurt by to get close to.

Just seen the ending. Genius plan, pretty emotional too.

I reckoned that world peace is secured, but terrorism ensues, in the form of free Britannian soldiers who were loyal to the Emperor. It would provide a new perspective, with people who have lost much at the hands of the good guys. You know, knew/loved/were related to people who died at the hands of our favourite terrorist group. What do you think?
