He, Everyone. I destinctly remembered there being a thread where people would toss ideas around for new conversations in game. SInce that topic seemes to be deader than dead, I have decided to recreate it here. Here are some of my own ideas, to start.

 

Iconian to Yor, First Contact:

So our old creation yet lives. We had hoped that you would learn to regret your actions, but it seems you are just as vile as we remembered.

 

Arcean to Drath, Sneer Relations Very Low (Sneer is when your military is weak compared to theirs)

What does the talking lizard want to speak to us about?

 

Arcean to Thalan, Sneer Relations Very Low

What does the talking insect want to speak to us about?

 

Drengin to Korx, Sneer Relations Lo

You know, [YourLeaderName], on our world, if someone came to a Drengin's house trying to sell something, we would have them for dinner... Now what do you want? (I have the Korath say something similar, as well)

 

Torians to Drengin, Cry For Help Accepted.

I never thought I'd see the day where [YourLeaderName] came to the rescue of the Torian people. This almost makes up for that 10,000 years of slavery you subjected us to.

Why is everything here an insult? Sure they're funny, but some of the other topics can be too. For instance:

 

 

Arcean to Human, Grovel Relations Very Low

What does the great [YourLeaderName], who we deeply and sincerely regret calling a 'talking monkey', wish of us?

 

 

And on that note, your Arcean dialogue seems a bit... one-track. Why not do the rest of the races while you're at it:

But the insult ones are SO much fun to write!  ;)

 

But I think I have a few positive ones up my sleeve:

Arcean to Yor, Sneer, relationship good.

"How's that rust spot working out for you?"

 

Altarian to Yor, Greeting, relationship good.

"I never thought I'd like anyone but you, [YourLeaderName], seem to be my kind of robot."

 

 

Plus a more ambiguous one:

Arcean, Greating, relationship low.

"We Arceans are a proud and noble race, do not push your luck."

 

I know the Arceans sound sort of one-tracked. I was sort of extrapolating from the Human and Altarian examples I had. (The monkey and magical monkey, respectively) Though it's not quite as single minded as it sounds; the Arceans also get a "My patience runs thin... state your intentions, [YourLeaderName]." Oh, and for the Korath, a "Your kind is even worse than your green-skinned cousins. What do you want?"

Then, after first contact:

"Oh, it's you again.  Is it true that human livers can mass over 2 kilograms?"

"Oh, what a coincidence.  We were just discussing extremity meats.  Do all humans have four limbs?"

Some of the most commonly encountered diplomatic encounters are AI_CRY_FOR_HELP, AI_TEAM_UP_AGAINST_CIV, and ANNOUNCE_RESEARCH. So I would suggest focusing effort adding new race-specific conversations under those tags.
