Installing Object Desktop on Multiple Computers

I have decided to purchase Object Desktop, but there is few questions that really interests me.Will i be able to install it on my future PC's?!?!

Just to log in in to my Impulse account and download the full version of a particular Stardock product and use it,years after the purchase, even though i am no longer subscribed?!?!And on how many Computers i can install this, after i purchase the software.

And another thing.I didn't see the Cursor FX among the Object Desktop components,so this isn't included in the purchase?!

you can install on other PC's as long as YOU are the main USER of the other PC's

you can read this post

This is from the EULA for WindowBlinds

YOU MAY:
1. Install and use one copy of the SOFTWARE on a single computer.
2. Install a second copy of the SOFTWARE on a second computer only if you are the main user of this computer (home computer or laptop for example).
3. Install the SOFTWARE on another computer only
if you change your main workstation. In such a case
you must uninstall the software from the old computer.
4. Use the SOFTWARE via a network, only if you
have purchased an adequate number of licenses.
The number of users must not exceed the number of
licenses you have purchased.
5. Make a copy of the SOFTWARE for archival purposes only.

If your subscription is still current yes.

No, you need to have a current subscription to download and update.  Installed software will continue to work and you can restore from archives, but you will not be able to download new copies.

And another thing.I didn't see the Cursor FX among the Object Desktop components,so this isn't included in the purchase?!

Right.  CursorFX is separate.

Shirley!

Restore from Archives ?! You mean like having this particular version for good right? And you can install the one that you purchased when ever you want as long as you are the main user ?

DisturbedComputer made a good post. The idea is that you can install the software on a second computer if it is yours and only you use it.

Your software is yours forever--if you don't resubscribe, it will still work, but can't be updated until you have a valid subscription again.

You can (and should ) archive your software (using Impulse). Copy and save the files elsewhere in case of a total disaster. I'm pretty sure that if you had to start over again someday that (through Impulse) you could redownload your software up to the version you paid for when your subscription ran out.

Yes, you can always restore from archives, regardless of if the subscription is active.

Sorry, but this is not possible at this time.

That is fantastic. Restoring seems like a simple process and keeping these amazing softwares for good is what's all about. I had concerns that i woud have to download them again when i reinstall the windows, so this is a really a smart method of preserving what you buy.

The full year upgrades sweetens this "eye candy" even more.

As far as the re-downloading the softwares is concerned, the archiving option makes that completely obsolete.

I would really loved to see Cursor Fx in the Object Desktop.I don't get, why such an essential component of the Object Desktop, isn't included.

Yeah, archiving is great, and I wished more digital downloading services did it. You can just throw those onto a cd/dvd and preserve your software forever.

CursorFX and ObjectDock are two applications our marketing department for years has chosen to keep separate from the Object Desktop package. As an Object Desktop subscriber, you are eligible for discounts, however...

Hi I just bought a renewal ObjectDesktop yesterday. I downloaded Impulse yet I cannot download Objectdesktop as I have not received serial for it.

I bought it off Stardock not from Impulse.

Please anyone can help me with this.

Impulse is the installer for Stardock products, install it if you have not then log in with your Stardock.net account info, all the Object Desktop components will be under the My Software tab.

Do you know why that is Mike?

I believe due to developer contracts and marketing strategies.  There have been some instances where sales have bundled them together (such as ObjectDock/Object Desktop sales).
