Real Capital ships for Diplomacy

anyone got it working ?

Anyone been able to convert this excellent mod to Diplomacy ?

I tried to take a look at it but its beyond me unfortunately. It would make me really happy if someone got a working version they could upload somewhere. :)

That would be awesome.

Really miss those big mean ships after buying Diplomacy.

Harpo you don't need to, I have almost (I hope) finished updating it.

EDIT: Download, remember to follow the steps in the readme!

The numbers are a bit off from what I remember and the installer assumes the game is installed under program files but it works!

Thanks a lot

np, though does it mean that the istaller didn't work? It is a tool someone else made for us (thread is somewhere on these forums), and it is the first time I used it on "published material".

Yes I have it installed somewhere else and the installer says:

"Unable to find sins program folder. Folder missing: C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire"

Can someone update it for dip 1.01? Oh and btw, if you take the 'Modfolder' and rename it to Real Capital Ships, you can manually install the mod by putting it in C:/Users/*your username*/appdata/local/ironclad games/Mods-Diplomacy v1.00 (The same way you install other mods) The installer and the other files aren't nessecary.

you should be able to place it in your mods-diplomacy v1.011 folder and have it work as there are NO changes in the entitys that could indicate a mod breaker

Hey, i downloaded the most recent link you posted, and am able to activate it in the mods menu, but when i play the game.... it's not active. The ships are all the same as if i hadnt enabled the mod. The game i have is v1.00, does this matter?

I don't have a "totalgaming" folder, do i need to make one and put it... somewhere?

for diplomacy and trinity (which can play a diplomacy mod) the usual path to the mod folder is

'C:' drive,  the Mods NEED to be placed here for xp ( the 'C" is the windows install drive
C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.37

or here for vista/windows 7
C:\Users\'user name'\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods-Diplomacy v1.37

NOTE the first two folders after the 'user name' are hidden , so to see them you must first click on 'tools' then 'folder options', then 'view', then click on 'show hidden files& folders' then click ok, then you will be able to browse your want to the folder. I suggest when you find the folder that you create a shortcut to it on the desktop

NOTE 2 the 'user name' in the above paths is your WINDOWS login user name, eg Administrator

note 3 these shortcuts assume your windows is installed on 'C' drive
