Creatures of Elemental: Hordes of the Fallen

Creatures of Elemental: Hordes of the Fallen

The Fallen are made up of many different races and creatures. Some of these creatures are sentient (or semi-sentient). Some are mindless and others, while lacking sentience have a cunning that makes them lethal.

This is by no means a complete list of Fallen creatures.

image[3]
Trolls. Huge, powerful, stupid. Powerful sorcerers can charm them.

image[7]
Edars. Rare but powerful Edars are incredibly dangerous with their elemental magic. Can be recruited – for a price.

image_thumb[2]
Umderdroths. The Dread lady Umber bred these lethal killing machines as pets. Can be tamed by powerful channelers.

image_thumb[3]
Daemons. No other way to classify these nightmarish creatures. Created by the Titans, they may be immortal.

image_thumb[5]
Dire Wolves.

image
Dire Bears

image
Sions. Powerful users of a very specific magic. They can be recruited.

The ones shown above aren't specific to any environment.

This non-Fallen (natural creature of Elemental) appears only in swamp areas.

Incidentally, it has not been named yet so feel free to suggest names.

It looks like wrathadile would be a fitting name.

Kay, is this some of your work? If so, it's looking awesome

If not, IT SUCKS!

(That's the way I read that statement anyway)

lol No Kellen, that's not how I ment it at all. The pics are pretty awesome no matter who drew them. I was only asking Kay if these were hers because they are a good bit removed from her other work which is still awesome, but a little too "cutesy" for what I think the main-stay of Elemental should be.

Raven X's Swamp Geth seems cool and balanced phonetically for some reason.

Scoutdog's Thurg is pretty good too.

Thanks Tim, I liked Scoutdogs suggestion you pointed out as well.

Haha Raven - as much as id like to take credit for all these beautiful concepts, they're actually all done by my boyfriend, the uber talented Leo Li :} (This guy > http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u102/kayfedewa/leo.jpg )

Right now I've been doing a lot of icons for the cloth map, inventory items, spell icons and a bit of texture work. Really enjoying myself here. It's the greatest job!

I'm also rather fond of Swamp Geth myself as well... although Marsh Geth has a nice sibilence to it..... there's also a forummer around here somewhere who goes by the name of Onomaskiton... a bit clunky in its regular form, but paring it down to Maskiton or Onoton would do something for me.....

Any preview of what the next beta build will allow us to do in Sovereign Fashion Week mode?

Wow! That was unexpected and very nice. Thank you, Frogboy. :)

Is anyone else thinking that needs a cleavage slider?

To indicate how much cleavageing the character will be doing to other characters.... of course...

Brad, you did that specifically for Winty, didn't you?....... although it's nice to see I'll be able to mod in Andorians with very little trouble if, for some reason, I decide I want to...

EDIT: And is Blue Booby a (Wo)Men-factioner, or a Fallen-factioner? Just trying to get some idea of the sort of intraspecies interfaction diversity we'll be seeing......

The Edars are "looking like" Balrogs... I like it! :D

You can make your own creatures too.

Please, do go on!

Knowing what people are like, how long will it be until half-naked elves get added to Elemental?  You know, because that blue woman wasn't nearly naked enough for the average inhabitant of the Internet.

That looks awesome Brad, Thanks for the preview. :)

You say that as if its a BAD thing. Everyone knows that real elves PREFER to be naked, or wear little because it puts them at one with nature and... ermm... that gives them an advantage in the wilderness ... areas.. Yeah. Yeah thats it. Realism.

Broken links: Umberdroth, Daemon and Dire Wolf. Just mouseover the pics and you'll understand.

I really like'em. Great stuff!

How do you pronounce Daemon btw?    I pronounce it as Theymon. Demon on the other hand I've alwyas pronounced as Deemon.

"ae" is classically pronounced as a long-e. So "e". Like in Evening, and is phonetically the same as demon. Most people prounce it as "ay".

Very cool, he looks like one of my best friends I knew a long time ago named Yoshi (short for Yoshiyoko). As I'm sure he already knows, he does some awesome work. In case he doesn't see the forums, tell him we all said "Well Done" :) . You're doing a great job on the icons as well. I particularly like the ones I've seen of Fire so far.

You know, I think I like Marsh Geth just as much as I like Swamp Geth, great suggestion. If they decide to go with either "Geth" name I'm going to sign all my posts with "Namer of the Geth" just because I think that'd be cool. If they go with "Marsh Geth" then I'll just sign "Co-Namer of the Geth"

The more news you give us the happier I am at how thigns are turning out. The creature customization you show looks amazing. It's looking like it will be a LOT easier to add in the races I'll want for my Mod. Well done sir and thanks for the added info.

Geth would be a bad choice : Mass Effect already used that name a lot for their bad guys.

Any chance that a liguist would take cae of the naming ? Because ... porcipinee, wel  .... And Edar is a cool name for some balrogish creature, but why keeping something as overused as "daemons" ? Why not "Edaerlings" ? Or something like that...

No matter the name, anyone in the world can find it funny and/or out of place. As long as it's not someting obvious and/or outrageous...
