Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity - It's here!

Sins of a Solar Empire + Entrenchment + Diplomacy = Trinity

Today Stardock Entertainment released the newest incarnation of Ironclad's masterpiece called Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity takes the original game and combines the Entrenchment expansion pack and the Diplomacy expansion pack (also released today) together.

If you already have the original game and Entrenchment, you can get Diplomacy for only $9.99.  If you're new to the game, you can pick up Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity.

Very cool! One question however, if a player already owns Sins of a Solar Empire plus the two expansions (Entrenchment and Diplomacy), can we pay shipping and get trinity sent to us? Or is there a deal similar to that in the works? The reason I ask, is that I would like to have a hard copy of those two expansions and i've already purchased the collector's edition of the original game for close to $60 when it was released a few years ago plus each of the expansions at their listed $9.99 value.

Good to hear that it is finally released. I have already bought diplomacy, but I am not going to download and play diplomacy until the German version is released. Any idea when that will be? Feel free to take enough time to perfect it, though....I'm very patient. Looking forward to it, though the TEC and the Vasari may not be looking forward to me playing any more  8C

Yup, we'll be offering this soon. The cost will be $5 plus shipping/handling.

Zeichnete - Should be within the next 1-2 weeks. We're just getting localizations squared away.

When do you think we will be able to order the $5 boxed sets?

Will it come with an updated printed manual?

Edit: Nothing on this yet?

Has there been any progress made on this yet? I would really hate to lose out on a boxed set with which I already payed for piece by piece ...

@ boshimi336

Are you asking if Stardock will ship us hard copies of the two expansions only?  If you are I completely agree with you because I prefer having the game in my hands compared to having it on a server in a place many miles away.

Yes, they were supposed to offer the Trinity phisical disc and box to costumers like us, who already bought the original box and the digital release of the expansions, for something like 5 bucks.

But no news so far...

I want my boxed copy!!!!

Me too.  (Actually, I mostly want the new expansion manual.)

Note on the PDF:  I didn't see anything on the Starbase killer ships in the ships section.  Is it elsewhere, or excluded?

Consider this another vote (and a bump while we're at it). I too would like a cheap boxed version of Trinity for those of us who bought the digital expansions believing that was the only way to get them.

I'm hoping that they won't maintain the price at $40 for it, permanently, and that they will consider the possibility that there may be market elasticity and that they could earn more profit by selling more copies at a lower price.  I often browse over games at Walmart, Target, and Meijer (local area superstore) and see one year old games still priced at $40 when they can be had for $20 online and wonder whether they are at all aware that their prices are a joke.  I hope the same thing doesn't happen with Sins and Trinity.  Perhaps it's time for Sins to drop to $10 (suck people in, let them like the game and want to purchase the expansions) and for Trinity to drop to $25.

At least those of us who play it online and hope for an influx of new online players sure would like to see increased sales.

<Edit> It looks like Sins itself is no longer available for purchase on Impulse; only Trinity.

What is actually the content of the trinity package? Is there any extra printed material?

I don't know what comes in the retail package, but the game itself consists of the original Sins, the Entrenchment expansion, and the Diplomacy expansion.  I'm guessing that it doesn't have much of a manual.  You'll learn the game through a built-in tutorial that will walk you through the basics.  At least the original Sins has that.  You should probably run through that a couple times.  Also, it doesn't have a campaign; it's more like Civilization or Alpha Centauri in those regards--you get a map and your goal is to conquer it.

Okay I have some questions about this game for you frogboy seeing as you said in one of your posts you are the president/CEO. I ordered a copy of Sins of a solar empire: trinity about 2 months ago from my local video game store. It has been two months(as I said in my previous sentence) and the game is still on back order. I know something is up with this. Neither the local warehouse nor the local store have a single copy of trinity and its quite frustrating now. I am very dissappointed with this turn out. I asked the General Manager at the store and he said they havent even a single copy of the game in either the warehouse or the store. Don't take this as I'm blaming you guys. I know that you guys are just basically the programmers.

Can you cancel the order and get your money back?  If so why not just buy it over Impulse or off of eBay or Amazon?

i dont know. The companies executive office sent me an email saying it was on back order. Ill see about canceling this weekend

Yeah, cancel it and hit Impulse.  They get more of your money for the direct purchase, and you get it faster.

yeah. but what happens when i get a new computer psychoak? how do i get it on there without having to pay for it again

If you have registered it on impulse, you can reinstall it on a new computer, kinda like Steam.

never had to deal with it on steam. i own all of the games i play via steam

???

Impulse is a software platform, like Steam. It does not host your games, UNLIKE Steam.

true. Impulse is more of a profit thing. downloads games etc. not multiplayer stuff. But i still have no idea how i would do that. it doesnt matter though lol I'd figure it out

register your game code with impulse. Then you can reinstall it on a separate machine with just the use of the internet.

Am I missing something? Is that not what you asked?

nah. Its just I don't like using peoples time. so i try not to ask unless i absolutely cannot figure it out

My question still stands ... where is my boxed content that I already purchased?!
