Snow is fine till you try to get to work and it takes 2hrs instead of 20mins cause all the roads are blocked. You townies have it easy ;)

Wish I was there as i've never seen a snowfall in real !!

Though I love it on my desktop with the snowfall 'effect' in Deskscapes3 with almost all winter backgrounds I use ;)

It is snowing in Colorado as well. I love it too but agree with Fuzzy, it is lovely when you don't have to get out and about and can just sit home and admire it!:meow:

Boring bits in between?  Spring and Autumn are the foreplay to snow and summer!  I would never want to get rid of them (even though I don't see a lot of them here in Florida, the changes are subtle, I can still see them, and they are exciting -- I'm really looking forward to the weather changes I'll get again when I move to Oklahoma in the next 6 months).

Spring is like the first flicker of the eyelids of a loved one coming out of a deep coma...the promise that all those life saving efforts were not in vain.  And Autumn is like that deep, cleansing sigh and the first few moments of relaxation when I go to bed...feeling that slipping away sensation of complete motionlessness.  How can you just discard those seasons as "boring"?!!  Without the lingering transition between the extremes, I think I'd need to be inebriated just to deal with the violent opposing states!

I'm with Doc. Take all mine also. We received 28.5 on Saturday and now they are calling for 16" and 50 MPH winds Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Have no idea where the hell I'm going to put this next load. Keep in mind they only called for 14" on Saturday but it just kept coming and coming.

Snow can be so beautiful. Like diamonds sometimes. But 40- is not, not my cup a tea either. And winter here can be for 6 months.x_x

Been there, done that.....make sure whatever place you live at there, that there is a tornado shelter. Every place I lived at in Oklahoma was wiped out by tornados a couple years after I left. I spent more time watching the weatherman than I did anything else in the spring.

Come to Maine where we have snow on the ground from November to April and you won't like it so much.

Every place has some weather issue that could wipe something out - I'm in Florida now and survived those series of hurricanes, and don't ever want to do that again.  I lived in Wisconsin and dealt with some nasty ice storms that messed up the electricity and the roof and the plumbing.  I hear there are some condos being built out of abandoned missile silos in Kansas, but they're pricey, because people with too much money are looking to survive 2012, and I don't think I want to spend my days in a bunker, anyway.

Right now I'm just trying to make sure I move to a place that has either a fairly low unemployment rate or better public resources than the place I'm currently at.  I'm sure the heck not makin' it here with double digit unemployment and the "pay for it or die" mentality that's over-riding everything in this state.  We have so many homeless, disabled, mentally unstable people just roaming the streets right now, it's breaking my heart.  I gotta go.

First of all, blame skinhit.

Second? Send the snow to loukeeya. Or sell it to the Canadians for the Winter Olympics.

Not sure if skinhead is causing this problem but loukeeya sure did saying how he just loves snow.

As I wait for the next storm to start tonight I'm getting ready. Have 20 trucks lined up around my home getting filled with snow. I located your address loukeeya and the trucks should arrive to you later today. Have fun making all the snowmen and snow ladies you can. Will send you some more in a couple days.

Me, I'm on board with the snow haters.......once again I have to turn My schedule upside down and work nights.

Everything gets thrown out of whack..... sleeping, eating, other bodily functions ;) ........ I'll have to work 7pm-7am with no days off for who knows how long........ once the roads are cleared then We start clearing off street corners, bus stops and fire hydrants ( with the heaviest, most in appropriate shovel the City could give us to do the job :X and hopefully I don't get stuck with one that has a curled edge o_O ) after the snow has had time to thaw, re-freeze and become compacted  :annoyed: ...... then we get to try to get caught up with the garbage, at this point there should be a three foot ridge of snow on the curbs formed by plowing, which I'll have to lug the trash over, or if I'm lucky enough for there to be an opening between cars where someone didn't create a mountain ( like a driveway ) I look forward to trying not to break My neck on a sheet of ice! :waaaa: add to all that freezing temperatures, and I hope You can understand why I'm not thrilled about snow! Eventually, when the overtime is no longer mandatory and they are taking volunteers, or if there is not enough volunteers they force O.T. according to seniority from the bottom up...hopefully I'll get a chance to go home early and get some much needed sleep!   ........ :) .......sure, I'm probably going to make a load of cash ( in about a month, after it gets screwed up buy the Supervisor who is also sleep deprived while doing the payroll, and then having to wait for all the corrections to go through....which, of course, they first take back what was wrong before they give You what You deserve! X| only to see most of it given to people that have taken a system of assistance and turned it into a system of dependence and a way of life where We reward people for not working and making babies.........  ) but, it's blood money!

Anyway....... I would just like to have two seasons, spring and fall......where everything blooms and then changes colors, falls off.......and then blooms all over again! :) .......well, maybe You could add a slightly warmer period between the two and minus some of the rainy bits ..... :sun:

You can call Me cold ;) .....but that guy deserves to freeze Doc..... just look at what He's wearing!

Fred, you're not cold, but doc is cruel. He could have at least put long pants on the guy. Doc just sits back, feet up, drinking his hot beverage, causing trouble.

Texas is one of the states with the fewest unemployment.  Not sure why with all the people that keep moving in.
