Can't change fonts in Skin Studio 7 with Windows 7 -- RESOLVED

I'm having an issue trying to get Skin Studio 7 to change fonts in my skins on my computer (running Windows 7).  Here's a screenshot of what's happening.

I choose the font I want, but when I click the "OK", my chosen font doesn't take.  The NAME of the font I want is there, but the actual font itself, isn't displayed and doesn't show up in the skin.

Can some please educate me on how to change the fonts in SKS7 on Windows 7 (I never had this problem when I was running XP and uing SKS6).

The picture seems fairly small, but it looks like you have a shadow defined on the text which is black which would explain why that text preview looks like that.

The shadow isn't the problem, Neil.  It's the actual font type.  I chose "hobo" font, which is a sort of fancy font, but it's giving me a plain font (Segoe, I think).

Here's a bigger picture of what I'm talking about.

It looks like the font you selected IS in there. You can see it selected in the right screen inside the font panel. Where you have te big arrow pointing down.....simply type your font name in there and apply it. It will complete the change. ;)

Maybe there is something messed up with SKS7 on my personal computer, because I have done exactly what you said about ("type in the font name and apply it") and I do NOT get the font that I typed in and applied.  Here's another screen shot, in which I have specifically chosen a VERY fancy font (Haunting Attractions) so you can see what happens when I try to change fonts.

When I changed mine, I had to change it in the fonts section then apply right from there....then change it in the taskbar button section and apply it again. It should work. Did you change the font for all the states of the button? Double check that, and if it still does not change, try a reboot.

Thanks, Xiandi.  I'll try that.  I appreciate your help. k6

Well...in case anyone else needs to solve this issue in the future -- apparently my problem was with Windowblinds, not SKS7 or my OS.  I guess when Windowblnds 7 first came out and I was playing around with the new features, I chose the Segoe font in the fonts section and applied it, and never went back and picked "Allow the skin to decide the fonts" from the list -- so no matter what font I picked when designing my skins, Windowblinds was overriding that with the font chosen from the list in the fonts section. ;P
