WindowBlinds 7 + Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit + Corel Draw X4 = Verry verry slow load time and system freez

I have been trying to use any of WindowBlinds skinns I have and have had to stop using all of them.  Every time I have one installed Corel Draw X4 takes from 2 to 5 minutes to load a working file.  Everything else is frozen while loading.  Without WindowBlinds working, they take only seconds to load.  I have tried to exclude CorelDRW.exe in the Settings - Per application menu, but it does not work, the interface gets skinned anyway.

I know that Corel products have given WindowBlinds problems in the past, and it looks like you have a new one to run down. It is strange that only Corel Draw is effected.  Corel Photo Paint is fine - Capture is good too.  No other programs are affected this way.

System:  Asus P7P55D EVO mobo, Intel i7-860 cpu, Corsair Dominator 8gig ram, ATI Hd4870 video, Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit os, WindowBlinds 7.01 (build 235 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS,  CorelDraw X4 Version 14.0.0.701, lots more

HELP!  I miss all the eye candy!

The only thing I can think of is that you are not identilying the correct .exe to exclude Coral Draw from skinning.  I don't have it so can help, sorry.

Have you sent an email to [email protected] yet?

For what it's worth.  This is a documented problem with the use of external UISO verses UIS2 Skins.  Skins that use the UIS0 interface, such as those offered by Microsoft and Stardock selections: Aero Colours, Areo Clay, Aero Metals, and Aero Woods work without problems.  But skins that use UIS2 interfaces have problems with some programs that want to only work with official Windows 7 UIS0 rendering software.  Stay away from UIS2 interfaces and all is well.

I don't know when this problem is going to be resolved, at least some of the skins supplied with WindowBlinds 7 work as advertised and offere different looks for Windows 7 and the programs I run.  Their are a number of programs that have this problem.  I have hope as Windows 7 is used over time the programs will function more firendly with WindowBlinds 7.  Corel has just introduced CorelDraw X5, and I hope that this version will address this problem.  I will know in about a month when the program hits NewEgg for sale.

PS:  Philly0381 -  nothing I did stoped WindowBlinds 7 from excluding Corel Draw X4  from skinning.
