Gatlinburg Vacation

Our Gatlinburg vacation is over, and I can hardly believe it.  It feels like we were barely there.  I wish we would have gotten to stay longer, but its not the summer time so its hard to take time off.  We had a great time though.  It was hard at times, but we got over it and found ways to have fun.  I think that it was only hard because it wasn't the trip that we expected it to be.  We went into the trip expecting it to be relaxing, but it wasn't really.

The main reason that the trip didn't meet our expectations was that there were a lot families that went on the trip.  There were four other families who had ten kids with them.  It was hard to get away from the screaming, crying, and playing.  While it was hard to relax, my husband and I did find some alone time together.  There was one day that we got to do all the stuff we wanted to do.

We refer to it as our fun day.  The places we went to were the Ripley's Aquarium, the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum, the Moving Theater, and the Sky Lift!  We also went shopping and we bought some buckwheat pancake mix from this really cool pancake house.  I also bought a pair of these that are really cute. The cabin we stayed in with everyone was very nice as well.  Our fun day and the nice-ness of the cabin made the trip well worth it.  Every bedroom had a king sized bed, a fireplace, a deck, and a full bathroom in it with western shower curtains.  Well, its time for bed for me.  Peace.
