To everyone in Oz, Happy Oz (Foundation) Day!

Well, I'd be remiss were I not to notice that today is Australia Day (actually Jan. 26th is) but with the time differential I don't know it isn't still (or going to be) Foundation Day, the day the first boat arrived in Oz....

And if, (G-d forbid) I missed it by a day, I most humbly apologize to some wonderful folks: Jafo, Vampothika, starkers and mrs. starkers, SydneySiders, Nimbin, and anyone/everyone I might have missed.

You folks ROCK! And this place would be too durned quiet without you all!

It was two days ago Doc.

Quite right. They do rock. 

 

I went fishing on Oz Day, came back for tea and put the fish on the barbie, invited everyone over. Sat back with a beer and listened to the magpies, on a warm afternoon.

King Islander here....;)

BTW....King Island was never formally handed over to Tassie so is still part of the Colony of NSW.

Makes me a New South Wales Colonial ....;)

4 day weekend, lamingtons, sun, sausages, barbies, air con, meat pies and flies and sam kekovich.

this is the BEST country in the world. im proud to be aussie

All that fresh air, seafood, fine cheese and prime beef must have gone to your head. The New South Welshmen don't even know where King Island is on the map. At least we use plunder take what we want care about you guys. Just keep sending all the food over.
