Calling All Old School HW2'ers

We (Cloaked and Finger) are challenging you to a 2v4 (yes, two vs. four). If you thought you once had something that resembled skill, then plz dust off your Homeworld 2 disk and report to the lobby to receive your beatdown.

Despite what you've been telling yourself about how you went out on top while the game was still alive - you're wrong. It's stumbling around on its last legs, but it's not dead yet (Lobby Stats). HW2 has been out for 6 1/2 years now, I've been playing for the last 3 years and Finger has been playing for 5 years. We need a last challenge vs good players plz, before Starcraft 2 beta opens sometime this year.

Yep Homeworld 2, lots of sins players came straight from HW2.

Ah, keep in mind that the Off-Topic forum spans across all Stardock forums, not just the Sins forums ;). Your post would have made more sense in the Sins context.

Finger, and Cloaked.  My, my.  You guys don't want to end up like Leviathan, that guy is still trollling the old clan forums trying to get his hamachi hw on.  I used to play with Finger alot.  He would get on TS without a mic, but he could type like 90 wpm so his excuse was he didn't need one even if he could afford it.

Some of the SF and XENO guys started playing SoaSE when it came out, but they have dissapated.  Even a few chikens were playing Sins, and TFL has a couple that are still around now and again.  P5y (one of the greatsest HW2 map makers ever) was on the forums alot, but I have not seen him in the lobby in ages.

Y'all trying to resurrect a few games?  Would be fun, but...

No, were just trying to provoke some old school players to come back for a few games, something like what Apocalypse did in his 'old school vs new school tournament' post, or what P5y did in his 'top 10 hw2 players' post. Both those posts were on the tlsc forums, but now the hw2 community is so spread out we figured we'd have to post it on a few forums. This is the only non-hw2 forum we posted on, since I know a lot of guys in sins right now (most using different nicks from hw2).

Its funny, about every week I'll see an old player come back and say 'wtf, people still play this?' when he see's a dozen people in the gamespy lobby. Yes hw2 is on its last leg, and once Starcraft 2 comes out, most of the best players will be migrating to that. But in the meantime, there's gonna be a few last months of good games available if any of the old schooler's are up for reliving some good times.
